The all-new film brings Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu to the big screen for what promises to be their most thrilling mission yet. The movie opens exclusively in theaters on May 22, 2026, and was filmed for IMAX.
Set in the aftermath of the Empire’s fall, the story follows the fledgling New Republic as it works to safeguard the Rebellion’s hard-won victories. “They have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu,” the announcement states, highlighting the central duo’s continued adventures.

Jon Favreau, creator of the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” returns to write, direct, and produce the film. Sigourney Weaver joins the cast that includes Jeremy Allen White and Jonny Coyne.
The movie is produced by Favreau alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with a musical score composed by Ludwig Göransson.
