*A civil lawsuit tied to Mystikal’s rape case remains active, with court filings offering additional details about the incident that recently resulted in the rapper receiving a 20-year prison sentence.
According to TMZ, the woman who filed the suit said she visited Mystikal’s Prairieville, Louisiana, home in July 2022 and that the encounter began on friendly terms. The complaint states that the rapper’s demeanor changed after he emerged from a bathroom and accused her of stealing money.
In the filing, the woman said Mystikal, born Michael Tyler, struck her in the face and choked her until she nearly lost consciousness. She reported suffering bruises, scrapes, a laceration, missing hair, and a broken fingernail.

The complaint further states that Mystikal forced her to undress, spit on her, and threatened her. According to the filing, he then insisted they kneel and pray together. This went on for several minutes before he placed his head on her chest and apologized.
Court documents state that Mystikal then bent her over the bedside and raped her vaginally and anally. The woman said she was too afraid to say no. She claims he later made her look for the money he accused her of taking before forcing her to send him $150 through a payment app.
According to the legal docs, she suffered physical injuries and emotional distress. The civil case remains ongoing.
The lawsuit stems from the same 2022 incident that led to Tyler’s criminal conviction. On June 16, a Louisiana judge sentenced the 55-year-old rapper to 20 years in prison without parole after he pleaded guilty to third-degree rape.
