*Kelly Rowland says there’s one assumption about her that doesn’t sit right. While many see her as pleasant and easygoing, the singer and actress shared that people often mistake that demeanor for a lack of toughness. According to Rowland, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Speaking on ABC News’ All Access with Linsey Davis on Feb. 9, Rowland addressed what she considers the biggest misconception about her. “That I’m nice but I don’t bite back,” she said, making clear that she draws firm boundaries when it comes to loved ones. “I will. Don’t play with me or my family,” she continued. “My sisters, my friends. I’m gonna get you.”
The former Destiny’s Child member is currently promoting the romantic comedy “Relationship Goals,” which debuted on Prime Video on Feb. 4. Outside of her on-screen work, Rowland has also shown support for the QuitGPT boycott campaign. The effort, launched in early February by actor and activist Mark Ruffalo, calls on users to stop using ChatGPT over concerns tied to OpenAI’s political affiliations. Organizers say the campaign has drawn 700,000 participants.
Ruffalo began urging followers to join after learning that OpenAI executives had donated to a pro-Trump super PAC. In an Instagram post, he wrote, “ChatGPT’s president is Trump’s biggest donor. Their tech powers ICE. It’s time to boycott: QUITGPT.”
He has encouraged users to cancel paid subscriptions and consider alternatives such as Lumo from ProtonMail, DuckDuckGo, Gemini, Claude, and other open-source platforms, emphasizing that the protest targets company leadership rather than artificial intelligence itself.
