*HONEY CHILE Entertainment, the independent media company founded by award-winning filmmaker and television writer Felicia Pride, has acquired the film and television rights to Kristina Forest’s bestselling “The Greene Sisters” trilogy. The acquisition covers all three novels—The Neighbor Favor, The Partner Plot, and The Love Lyric—which collectively explore the lives of three accomplished sisters balancing career ambitions, family expectations, and contemporary romance.
Per the new release, Pride will adapt and produce the first film in the series, while also producing the remaining installments, establishing a cinematic universe rooted in humor, emotion, and modern Black love. “Kristina is such a smart writer whose work completely draws you into her worlds. Her Greene Sisters trilogy captures romance, ambition, and partnership in ways that feel aspirational and deeply familiar,” Pride said, highlighting her commitment to culturally resonant storytelling.
Author Kristina Forest expressed excitement over the partnership, stating, “I’ve been a fan of Felicia Pride’s work for years, and we share the same mission of creating life-affirming art featuring Black women. I’m so thrilled that Honey Chile has optioned The Greene Sisters series and I’m excited for all that’s to come.”
The announcement expands HONEY CHILE’s growing slate of premium film and television projects and comes amid a defining period in Pride’s career. She currently serves as Showrunner and Executive Producer of Netflix’s “A Different World” sequel, and recently co-executive produced Peacock’s “Bel-Air,” which earned seven NAACP Image Award nominations for 2026.
