*Before her boyfriend Van Hunt came on the scene, there was much talk about Halle Berry’s ability to keep a man.
Reminiscing over that period, the Oscar-winning “Boomerang” alum took a moment to respond to the trolls as she flipped the situation to respond to them, according to HuffPost.
“It’s hard in these streets,” Berry confessed to Drew Barrymore during an recent episode of Barrymore’s self-titled daytime talk show. “I’ve heard people say, ‘Oh, something must be wrong with Halle Berry, she can’t keep a man.’ Who says I want to keep a man?”
For Berry, it looks to boil down to quality when being with someone worth her time and effort.
“I don’t want to keep the wrong man. Like, I’m not crazy, right?” she explained. “So, when you find that you make a mistake, we all make mistakes, we have a right to say, ‘Oh God, this was a mistake, let me start again.’ We have the right to do that.”

Fortunately, Berry found a man worthy of her in Hunt, whose relationship with the “Never Let Go” star surfaced in 2020.
The couple’s staying power differs from Berry past pairings, which resulted in three failed marriages the births of her 16-year-pld daughter Nahla, with ex Gabriel Aubry and a son,10-year-old Maceo, with Olivier Martinez.
Although breaking up is hard in many ways, Berry doesn’t regret her choice in doing so, knowing she made the right call in ending her time with each each time.
“We all know as mothers, sometimes we have to make those hard decisions,” the “X-Men film series fixture told “Today” last September.
“We have to do things. Sometimes it’s ‘We have to get a divorce,’ OK? Because it’s like, ‘I can’t stay here. I’m going to die if I stay here, And it’s happened to me three times.”
