*Michael Jackson fans have a must-see experience waiting for them at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino: “Michael Jackson ONE,” a spectacular Cirque du Soleil production that brings the King of Pop’s legacy to life.
Per the press release: “Michael Jackson ONE is a state-of-the-art visual and audio experience creating a theatrical evocation of Michael’s creative genius. Guided and inspired by his music, four misfits set out on a transformative adventure. By journey’s end, they will personify Michael’s agility, courage, playfulness and love.”
“It is a journey through some of his greatest hits. It takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions that will leave you feeling so full of energy and life,” Jose Concepcion-Suarez, a performer in the show, told The Blast. “From the music, acrobatics, projections, and technology, you won’t be disappointed.”
“My best friend got me into dancing back in middle school and dancing took it over from there. There was something so magical about being able to express my individuality and emotions through this art. This is what made me appreciate Michael Jackson’s artistry when I got to Cirque, the ability to make you feel something,” Concepcion-Suarez said.
In a 2013 statement, Daniel Lamarre, President and CEO of Cirque du Soleil, said: “Michael Jackson is an all-time phenomenal artist, both timeless and contemporary. As a creative challenge, this project is the ultimate. Through the use of cutting-edge technology, we will produce a new Cirque du Soleil theatrical experience not only respectful of Michael’s legacy but also very distinctive from Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.”

“I want people to know that this show is nostalgically electrifying so much so that you will dance, sing, and maybe get a little emotional,” A’Lexus Crooms, who has been with the show for nearly two years, shared with The Blast.
“During our finale, ‘Black or White,’ we get to mingle with the audience to greet patrons. This happens often, I experience kids in the audience in full Michael Jackson swag grooving just like him. I try my best to have a dance party with them so they know they are seen. I live for moments like this as a performer. It also puts me in awe of the legend icon I work for,” Crooms added.
In its review of “Michael Jackson ONE,” The Blast wrote: “This show is something that isn’t easy to fully explain. Whether you’re a Jackson fan or not, this is a MUST SEE show. From the costumes, the iconic music, incredible dances and acrobatics, and the holographic-like appearance of Michael Jackson, there’s so much energy, emotion, and nostalgia from start to end.”
