*”Tell The Damn Story” podcast hosts, Chris Ryan and Alex Simmons teamed up with a panel of extraordinary artists and storytellers from across the globe, and took place during the East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention (ECBACC) held in Philadelphia.
Joining them for this special international episode of “Tell The Damn Story,” were Micheline Hess of Mishmash Arts (NYC), acclaimed cartoonist, illustrator and EURweb contributor, TAYO Fatunla (UK/Nigeria) and Jesse Sunkwa-Mills, CEO Mills Media in Ghana.
It was a conversation full of wisdom, shared laughter, global individual perspectives and experiences, practical advice for the enthusiastic emerging creatives and recognition of other greats and recommendations.
The episode celebrated the power of diverse storytelling, as each panelist shared how their cultural roots and creative journeys shaped their work—offering valuable insight into navigating the comic and media industries while uplifting the next generation of Black creators from both local and international stages.
