*Motown guitarist/songwriter/bandleader Cornelius Grant is a legend.
As a child prodigy, he was able to get professional sideman gigs in and around Detroit while Motown founder Berry Gordy was developing “The Sound of Young America.”
Grant became the bandleader for Mary Wells, and Marvin Gaye before he hitched up with The Temptations. During his tenure with the “Tempts” he co-wrote songs like “You’ve Got To Earn It,” “I’m Losing You,” and “You’re My Everything.”
Grant, now 82, recently suffered a stroke and is in rehabilitation. We are asking family friends and fans to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
