*Candace Owens has publicly criticized Bari Weiss following her interview with Erika Kirk, the wife of Charlie Kirk, accusing the host of calling her a liar during the conversation.
“I’m in a bad mood,” Owens wrote on X alongside a link to her latest YouTube episode. “Bari Weiss refers to me as a liar, and Erika Kirk does not rebut.”
As Radar Online reports, Weiss reportedly said Owens was “building her business off these lies” and conspiracies about Charlie’s murder. “The podcaster Candace Owens. Okay. At one time a friend of Charlie’s, at one time an employee of Turning Point, she has been one of the main peddlers of these conspiracies and she is making a huge amount of money on it. She is building her business off of these lies,” Weiss said.
Owens responded by dismissing suggestions that she profits from misinformation related to the late activist. “What did I lie about?” she asked. “It’s just incredible… maybe I’ve made a mistake somewhere, and I want to correct that. My goal is not to tell lies. It is obviously plausible that I have made mistakes. I’ve reviewed these lists that we’ve put together, and I can’t find the lie. The lies that I find are coming out of Turning Point USA,” the organization founded by Charlie Kirk.

She also defended herself after sharing private text messages with Charlie to counter accusations of dishonesty. “First, they accuse me of lying,” she said. “Then I prove I’m not lying. And then their strategy is to attack me for telling the truth and saying, ‘How dare you reveal a personal text message to defend yourself from being called a liar?’ We can keep going here.”
The exchange comes after earlier public disputes between Owens and Erika, who recently revealed that they plan to meet in person to resolve their differences. She added that both have agreed to hold off on public comments, livestreams, and social media posts until after the meeting, expressing hope for a productive discussion.
On X, Owens noted that she’s “very much looking forward to this discussion.”
