*Hollywood actors Salli Richardson and Dondré Whitfield have expressed strong support for their daughter Parker Whitfield’s relationship with Bronny James, son of NBA icon LeBron James.
We reported earlier that Parker and Bronny, who attended high school together, affirmed their romance last year with a Disneyland photo shared by Parker for National Boyfriend Day, captioned, “Bf day! i love you!” Bronny reposted the image, writing, “I love you babyyyyy,” and adding a crown emoji over her head. Their relationship first sparked speculation in August when Parker was spotted courtside with Bronny at a 2024 Paris Olympics basketball game.
Parker’s parents have embraced the Lakers’ rookie. “He’s a good dude,” Salli told TMZ on September 13. Dondré, while jokingly noting Bronny’s “on thin ice” until he wins a championship, expressed genuine respect for the young athlete.
Parker, a 19-year-old sophomore at Spelman College, is carving her own path. Her father proudly shared on Instagram, “We are so excited that Parker has chosen @spelman_college as her ‘great experience’! It will undoubtedly offer her a top-tier education, sisterhood, and citizenship.”
