*BET has given the green light to a new original series that puts one of hip-hop’s most outspoken entrepreneurs front and center. “OG Stories,” hosted by Damon Dash, is set to make its debut on the network in spring 2026.
Per the news release, the unfiltered docuseries brings together cultural architects, street legends, and self-made entrepreneurs for candid, character-driven conversations rooted in real experience. Through cinematic visuals and unscripted dialogue, Dash creates a platform where stories of survival, resilience, and empire-building take center stage. The series tackles themes ranging from overcoming adversity to breaking generational curses, capturing the mindset and blueprints of those who have shaped culture from the ground up.
Dash, best known as the co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, has long been regarded as a pioneer in hip-hop entrepreneurship. His career has spanned music, film, fashion, and media, and “OG Stories” reflects that same independent spirit. He drew a personal comparison to the acclaimed film “Paid in Full” when describing what the project means to him.

“OG STORIES is really MY Paid in Full, a depiction of real life and real people I know,” Dash said. “These are friends and peers who lived this, built something out of nothing, and earned the lessons that come with it. This series is about telling those stories the way they actually happened.”
Dash also expressed gratitude toward the network for backing his vision, thanking BET, Louis Carr, and Brian Rikuda for giving the show a home.
The series is created and directed by Dash himself, with The Dash Group LLC and Jason Harvey serving as executive producers. Nicolette Durham joins the production as associate producer, while Josh Pyzynski handles both director of photography and editing duties alongside Pierre Adams, Michael Coleman, Julian Ramirez, and Molly Menchen. Music supervision is led by Dash and Durham, with audio post-production managed by Eric Hoegemeyer.
BET, a unit of Paramount, has served as a cultural home for Black audiences for more than four decades, operating a broad portfolio of brands including BET, BET+, BET Gospel, BET HER, and VH1.
