*AMC and AMC+ have released the official trailer and key art for “Nautilus,” a gripping reimagining of Jules Verne’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.”
The 10-episode British adventure drama, created by James Dormer, premieres with two episodes on Sunday, June 29, at 9PM ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. New episodes will air weekly on Sundays, leading to an electrifying two-episode season finale on August 17 at 9PM ET/PT.
Starring Shazad Latif (Penny Dreadful, Star Trek: Discovery) as Captain Nemo, the series presents an Indian prince turned vengeful scientist, stripped of his birthright and family by the East India Mercantile Company. “Nautilus” follows Nemo’s audacious escape from a penal colony, where he commandeers a prototype submarine and gathers a diverse crew of prisoners. His quest: to uncover a legendary Viking treasure at the Pillars of Halvar while outmaneuvering the relentless East India Mercantile Company.
The cast includes Georgia Flood (Apples Never Fall) as Humility Lucas, Céline Menville (Emily in Paris) as Loti, and Thierry Fremont (Liaison) as Benoit, with guest appearances by Oscar®-nominee Richard E. Grant, Anna Torv, and Noah Taylor.

Developed by Moonriver TV’s Xavier Marchand and Seven Stories’ Anand Tucker, “Nautilus” is written and executive produced by James Dormer, with executive producers Johanna Devereaux, Chris Loveall, Colleen Woodcock, and Daisy Gilbert. Cameron Welsh serves as producer, and Michael Matthews directs. The series is backed by the Australian Government’s Location Incentive and Screen Queensland’s production attraction strategy, with distribution by Disney Entertainment.
The trailer showcases heart-pounding naval chases, stunning underwater visuals, and Nemo’s relentless drive for revenge and redemption. The key art, featuring the submarine and its enigmatic captain, sets the stage for a thrilling adventure.
“Nautilus” blends historical drama, high-stakes action, and Verne’s visionary storytelling, reintroducing Captain Nemo as a complex antihero. Tune in on June 29 to embark on this epic journey beneath the seas.
