*Amber Rose publicly voiced her support for Nicki Minaj following the rapper’s recent appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest convention.
Speaking with TMZ, Rose applauded Minaj for sharing her political beliefs despite facing backlash online. Rose, who is a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, framed Minaj’s remarks as an example of exercising personal freedom.
“I think she did a great job, an amazing job,” Rose said of Minaj’s appearance. “We live in a free country. She has a right to her own political opinion just like everyone else does.” Rose emphasized that disagreement should not invalidate someone’s right to speak.
Rose also addressed criticism from those who believe Minaj’s political stance could alienate fans within the LGBTQ+ community.
“She didn’t say anything wrong,” Rose stated. “She didn’t say anything about the LGBTQ+ community at all. Why do people think anyone over there is homophobic?”

She continued by sharing her own experiences to counter similar claims.
“I’m not homophobic; my assistant has been with me for 11 years; he’s Black and gay. I have a bunch of trans friends — so does Nicki.” Rose added, “I don’t know why people twist our words or think because we endorse Trump that we just hate gay people and trans people. That’s just not true.”
Minaj appeared alongside conservative commentator Erika Kirk at AmericaFest on Dec. 21, where she discussed her political views and advocacy against violence targeting Christians in Nigeria.
During her remarks, Minaj praised qualities she associates with Trump and criticized California Gov. Gavin Newsom, referring to him as “Newscum.” She also expressed admiration for the current administration, saying, “This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them.”
Following the event, rumors circulated online claiming that Minaj lost 10 million Instagram followers and deleted her account.
However, those reports are inaccurate. Minaj deactivated her Instagram in October 2025, and there is no evidence supporting claims of such a dramatic follower loss.
