*Serial squatter Elizabeth Hirschhorn has finally moved out of a Brentwood rental property after a lengthy legal battle with the homeowner.
We reported previously that Hirschhorn lived in Sascha Jovanovic’s mansion for 570 days rent-free and was demanding 100K in compensation to vacate the property.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the woman rented the guest house more than two years ago via Airbnb and was meant to stay six months but refused to month out when the term ended. Jovanovic, a renowned dentist, initially agreed to a long-term lease outside the app but was forced to take legal action when she refused to move out.
A Los Angeles judge said he had no right to remove the squatter because the guesthouse was not registered and had no certificate of occupancy. Per the Express, Jovanovic “had a shower built without a permit, meaning it’s not a legal rental and Hirschhorn should not have been charged rent from the beginning, according to the lawsuit,” the outlet writes.

Hirschhorn sued the doctor over the legality of the eviction, claiming she had tenant protections.
“I told her she could stay another 2 weeks at no cost so she could relocate herself, but that was taken in the wrong way, and she just squatted and never left,” said Jovanovic, CBS News reports.
In a statement from Hirschhorn’s attorney, they said Jovanovic “intentionally” failed to disclose that “he agreed to a long-term lease with the tenant outside of the Airbnb platform. It was never a 6-month lease. He lies to cover up all the rent she paid and her willingness to pay even higher rent.”

Hirschhorn moved out on Friday while Jovanovic, who lives on the property, was interviewed for a documentary about the situation. He said he called the cops when he saw three men, who turned out to be movers, walk into the guesthouse — believing it could be a home invasion.
Once police arrived, all of Hirschhorn’s belongings were packed, and they escorted her off the property, Jovanovic said.
