“Community” star Yvette Nicole Brown and fellow actor Anthony Davis have officially said, “I do!”
The couple married on Saturday, Dec. 14, in an “intimate, classy and fun” ceremony at The Maybourne Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, PEOPLE reports. Their journey began in their twenties as friends before losing touch, only to reconnect in 2021 and fall in love. Brown hopes her story reminds women of a certain age that “it’s never too late” to find love.
“I had no nerves when it came to marrying this man,” Brown told the publication. “He is the one for me. Absolutely.”
Earlier this year, Yvette and Anthony discussed their wedding plans on Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone.
“To be my age, to be single as long as I was single and to have waited — you know, I didn’t just grab a guy, I waited until I found the guy my heart loves, that’s a testimony and that’s also aspirational and inspirational to women that are in my position,” the actress said.

“I would love for a 40-something or a 50-something woman to see this story and go, ‘Okay, it’s right for me to wait for the right one, or to not just marry whoever asks me first if I don’t feel it.’ It is still possible,” she continued.
While guest co-hosting “The View” last December, Yvette shared that she and Anthony reconnected following her mother’s passing three years ago. She also recalled his proposal during a visit to her hometown in Ohio, where Brown’s former high school honored her by naming its auditorium after the Hollywood star.
“We were celebrating that, and then [Davis] gave me a [lottery scratch card] and the scratcher said, ‘Will you marry me?’ ” she said. “I thought I was going to win some money and I won a man!”
According to PEOPLE, this is Brown’s first marriage and the second for Davis.
