*Whitney Houston’s iconic vocals are returning to stages across the U.S. this fall through The Voice of Whitney: A Symphonic Celebration, a concert series combining her voice with live orchestral performances.
According to Music Business Worldwide, the late superstar’s estate has teamed up with Moises, Primary Wave Music, and Park Avenue Artists to bring this unique experience to life. The tour, which began in August 2024, uses rare video footage of Houston alongside her isolated vocals.
Many of Houston’s original multitrack recordings were lost, making the project seem unattainable. Park Avenue Artists approached Moises, a U.S.- and Brazil-based music platform, whose advanced stem separation technology enabled the isolation of Houston’s vocals from fully mixed tracks.
Moises CEO Geraldo Ramos explained, “This project demanded exceptionally high-caliber stem separation, something Moises leads the industry in achieving.” He added, “A concert like this simply wouldn’t have been possible five years ago, before stem separation technology reached the precision and fidelity we’re now able to deliver.”
The seven-city tour includes performances in Wilmington, North Carolina; Thousand Oaks, California; Carmel, Indiana; Waukegan, Illinois; Palm Desert, California; and Mesa, Arizona, with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra hosting shows on September 20-21. Tickets are available through Bandsintown.
Pat Houston, Executor of The Estate of Whitney E. Houston, said, “We knew this had to be done right. Moises and our partner Park Avenue Artists elevated the idea with the heart, care, and creative excellence that Whitney always embodied.”
Park Avenue Artists co-president Ross Michaels described the concert as “the first of several planned collaborations that will use AI to illuminate new dimensions of an artist’s work.”
