*All paths lead to Italy for Venus Williams. Media sources with NewsNation reveal the notoriously private tennis champion will marry her Italian fiancée, actor and model Andrea Preti, in an intimate ceremony on Italy’s Amalfi coast in September.
Putting more weight on the impending nuptials, Williams’ family and close friends recently united to mark the occasion by hosting her bachelorette party on a yacht in the Adriatic Sea.
Sources note partygoers were swam, danced and frolicked in the watery setting for several days while toasting Willaims.
Despite Williams maintaining her privacy with keeping her Instagram account in (mostly) strictly business mode, the location for the bachelorette party was leaked by friends and family who hinted the affair took place off the coast of Italy.
“(The bachelorette party) was just really wonderful and so much fun,” a friend shared. “It was just family and friends — and the wedding will be the same.”

A video Williams herself posted herself hinted she was in Europe and captured her dancing in a beautiful, manicured Italian garden alongside her best friend, former WNBA star, Lisa Leslie on Instagram.
Williams’s sister, Serena also made the party, as evidenced by several Instagram videos she posted on the yacht the bachelorette party is said to have been on.
NewsNation notes Serena didn’t have to travel half a world away, since she has been in Europe all summer with her husband, tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian and her two children.
News of Venus’ wedding, though joyful, may come as a surprise to many, considering her introverted nature.
Even Venus’ engagement to Preti was classified, despite the huge diamond ring she’s been wearing for more than a year. Still, a rep and agent for Williams spilled the tea, confirming the couple were engaged.
The upcoming jumping of the broom comes after Williams and Preti’s courtship began after meeting in the early summer of 2024, when they were soon caught on a yacht along the Amalfi Coast near Nerrano, Italy.
In a rare look into her actions outside the tennis court, the 44-year-old sports star posted an Instagram story of her and her 36-year-old beaux In January 2025. The story was set in the Bahamas, with Williams calling Preti, “The best company.”
In February, Venus was seen wearing a large engagement ring. The accessory may have been a tip off, but that didn’t prevent her from being mum on her engagement or the nuptials to come.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, the question is whether Williams can remain silent or open up a little more leading to her new life with Preti.
