*Usher is using his 2026 North American R&B Tour with Chris Brown as a platform to create real career opportunities for the next generation. Usher’s New Look and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Detroit have jointly announced the launch of “Entertainment Industry Club: Live Touring Edition,” a program built to open doors for young adults pursuing careers in the entertainment industry, ABC Detroit reports.
Ten interns — ages 18 and older — from Detroit and Atlanta will be selected to work across key areas of a live touring operation, including tour production, wardrobe, multimedia, community impact, and operations. Prior to joining the tour, participants will complete a training experience built around professional standards, safety, and the specific demands of their assigned roles.
Shawn H. Wilson, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Detroit and co-founder of Usher’s New Look, addressed the gap the program aims to close. “The live touring industry is a multi-billion dollar global business—yet access to the entertainment trades remain limited,” he said. “Together, we’re changing that by placing young professionals on one of the most historic tours and turning access into real pathways to lasting careers.”

Usher addressed the program’s core mission in a separate statement. “At Usher’s New Look, we’ve always believed talent is everywhere, but access is not,” he said. “This program is opening doors and putting young professionals in a position to learn, grow, and work inside the entertainment trades. It’s about giving them a real opportunity.”
Applications are open now at UshersNewLook.org under the Entertainment Industry Club section.
