*Tupac Shakur’s family is reportedly taking legal action over the allegations involving Sean “Diddy” Combs in connection with the rapper’s murder.
According to recent reports, citing unverified sources, Diddy allegedly offered up to $1 million for Pac’s assassination, prompting the family to hire lawyers and investigators to seek answers. The family is also considering a wrongful death lawsuit, which would depend on the discovery and presentation of credible evidence, Complex reports.
Tupac murder suspect Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who was arrested in September 2023 in connection with the 1996 murder of the rapper, claims Combs ordered a $1 million hit on Pac and former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight.
We reported previously, citing The Sun, that Davis claims the Bad Boy Records founder asked him to “take out” Pac and Knight, an allegation that Combs has constantly dismissed.
Davis reportedly discussed the details of Diddy’s involvement with Pac’s murder in a secret police interview with the LAPD. In the recording, he told detectives that Combs was “happy as hell” after Pac was gunned down in 1996.

Davis also alleged that the disgraced music mogul paid $1 million for the hit to a gangster named Eric Von Zip, who decided to keep the money for himself.
Former LAPD detective Greg Kading has reported that Keefe D informed law enforcement that P. Diddy held a meeting in a hotel room with “Crips” gang members, where he allegedly expressed a desire to have Tupac and Suge Knight eliminated, Hot New Hip Hop reports.
Keefe D was arrested and charged with Tupac’s murder last year following his confession in the book “Compton Street Legend,” where he admitted to supplying the murder weapon.
