*Transgender influencer Ts Madison is stirring up conversations about gender and identity after a recent interview sparked debate, particularly regarding comments made during her appearance on The NeNe Leakes Show.
As TMZ reports, Madison addressed her earlier statement that she believed NeNe Leakes viewed her as a man, clarifying that their exchange was more complex than initially portrayed. During the original interview, Leakes questioned whether Madison, a trans woman, dates men who aren’t gay, suggesting that a man must be gay to be romantically involved with her. Madison firmly responded that it doesn’t make a man gay, asserting that she’s a woman.
She noted that Leakes seemed to struggle with the concept. Madison attributes this to a generational misunderstanding,” TMZ writes, suggesting that many women share similar views.
In her latest statement, Madison emphasized the importance of growth through dialogue, saying, “There are real gaps in how we, as a culture, understand the difference between sex, gender, sexual orientation, and identity. And the truth is, a lot of people — including cisgender women — are still learning. That doesn’t mean they’re hateful, it means they’re growing.”
She expressed her desire to avoid a cancel culture that punishes those striving to learn, adding, “I stand ten toes down in who I am, and I’m not offended by someone trying to understand me better. This moment isn’t about division. It’s about dialogue — and if you really listened to what I said, you’d hear that too.”
According to TMZ, Madison clarified that she doesn’t label Leakes as transphobic and values their respectful exchange. She hopes the conversation sparks broader understanding.
