*Tichina Arnold is continuing her long association with CBS Studios through a newly announced first-look deal that signals the next stage of her career in television production. The agreement comes after more than two decades of collaboration between the actress and the studio.
According to Ice Cream Convos, the deal will operate through Queen Light Productions, a company Arnold created with her sister, Zenay Arnold. Through the partnership, the two plan to develop new projects while maintaining their established relationship with the studio.
“I am extremely excited to have a first look deal with CBS Studios,” Tichina shared. “My sister Zenay and I started a company called Queen Light, and it’s amazing to continue working creatively with a studio and team that we’ve already been part of for so long.”

While Arnold prepares for the conclusion of one of her most recent series, she is also focused on developing future content. “The Neighborhood,” which premiered in 2018, is set to finish its run with its eighth season this year.
Among the projects Arnold is working on is a story centered on a widely recognized female singer. The “Martin” star has chosen not to publicly reveal further information about the project at this time. Her decision to keep the concept private stems from a previous experience. After discussing an earlier idea publicly, she later saw the project move forward without her participation, prompting a more cautious approach to sharing details.
Arnold’s professional relationship with CBS Studios includes several notable television roles over the years. One of the most prominent was her role in “Everybody Hates Chris,” which debuted in 2005 and portrayed the childhood of comedian Chris Rock, with Tyler James Williams playing the young lead.
During her time on “The Neighborhood,” Arnold also expanded her work behind the scenes by directing her second television episode, which will air during the show’s final season.
“Eight seasons of working on The Neighborhood have taught me so much,” she said. “What made the experience so special was that everyone genuinely wanted to be there.”
