*Hidden Gem Entertainment has released the official trailer for “The Secret Between Us,” a new family drama executive produced by multi-platinum R&B singer Keith Sweat and starring Michael Jai White and Lisa Arrindell. The film will open in select theaters Easter Weekend.
Directed by Tamera Hill, founder of Hidden Gem Entertainment, the film centers on Jack, a respected family man whose carefully constructed life begins to unravel when a son from a long-ago affair reappears. As buried truths come to light, Jack and his loved ones are forced to confront betrayal, grief, and the possibility of reconciliation, per the news release.
The story also follows Jack’s estranged son Torrance as he grapples with resentment, illness, and secrets of his own. Through their strained relationship, the film explores themes of accountability, healing, and the redemptive power of honesty.

“In The Secret Between Us, we wanted to tell an intimate, character-driven story about the cost of secrets and the courage it takes to seek forgiveness,” Hill said in a statement.
Sweat echoed that sentiment, adding, “This story is emotional and moving. It pulls you in immediately and takes you on a journey about the importance of family and forgiveness. This story is so relevant for today. The Secret Between Us is about overcoming adversity and fighting for your family at all costs because family is irreplaceable and you have nothing if you don’t have family.”
The ensemble cast also includes Victoria Rowell, Karen Abercrombie, Tre Ryan, Denzell Dandridge, Dominique Wilson, Destinee Monét, and Reggie Currelley.
Advanced ticket sales through AMC Theatres begin March 13, 2026. “The Secret Between Us” opens in select theaters nationwide on April 3, 2026. Watch the trailer above.
