Lukas is ex-military and is trying to adjust to his new life and leave his past behind, without realizing his past is still a part of his identity.
“I think that’s one of the things that is so special about Ruby. She sees beyond, I think, what even Lukas can see within himself,” Naughton added.

Bonko Khoza brings a steady, commanding presence to the series, one that never tips into predictability. The series wastes no time establishing his character as a dominant force.
Opening with the unforgettable image of him leaping from a burning helicopter. But once the story continues, the audience will see how complex and layered this character is.
“I felt like my job was to sink into those emotional pockets. Because I feel like, if Lukas didn’t have depth, if I didn’t search for the emotional pockets of the story, it would have been just another action series,” said Khoza.
What makes The Nowhere Man especially compelling is how Naughton and Khoza play off one another. Their scenes are layered with tension that doesn’t need explanation. The show trusts its actors to do the heavy lifting, allowing emotion to simmer rather than spill. It’s in that restraint where the series finds its power.
With strong writing, attention-grabbing action, and performances that will resonate with viewers. The Nowhere Man stands out within Starz’s original programming.
