*The red carpet was filled with excitement at Regal LA Live in Downtown LA on Monday, September 9, for the highly anticipated premiere of “The Killer’s Game” movie.
Directed by JJ Perry and based on Jay R. Bonansinga’s book, the action-comedy stars Dave Bautista, Sofia Boutella, Terry Crews, and Pom Klementieff, who all turned up on the red carpet to celebrate the film’s big night ahead of its release on September 13.
The movie tells the story of Joe Flood, played by Dave Bautista, a top hitman who learns he’s terminally ill and only has a few months to live.
In a twist of dark humor, the plot takes a sharp turn when Joe learns he was misdiagnosed and now faces the challenge of surviving the hitmen he hired to kill him. The plot is a blend of intense action, romance, and comedy, making it a standout movie.

The premiere was a star-studded affair, drawing not only the main cast but also notable public figures, including actor Kel Mitchell and former MMA fighter Chuck Liddell, who joined the cast to celebrate the film. Dave Bautista spoke about connecting with the vulnerability of his character, Joe Flood, and highlighted the personal aspects of the story that drew him in.
“I put myself in his shoes. You think about falling in love for the first time and how good that felt and how good it made you feel… and to know that you’re going to lose this and there’s nothing that you can do,” said Bautista.
Director JJ Perry also shared his enthusiasm for the film, expressing appreciation for the chance to bring Bonansinga’s novel to the big screen and exploring the blend of action and romance that sets “The Killer’s Game” apart.
“What really drew me to the story was the love story… because it’s unique and not typical in the genre that I typically work in—the action genre—to have a crossover action meets love story,” said Perry.

“The Killer’s Game” will hit theaters on September 13, inviting audiences to join Joe Flood on his chaotic yet heartfelt journey.
The premiere suggests that this action-comedy will not only entertain you but also leave a lasting impression.
Don’t miss the film’s debut this Friday (09-13-24)!
