*Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a stark warning to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), advising her to proceed with caution as she intensifies her criticism of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his efforts to streamline federal agencies.
As the New York Post reports, Crockett has been vocal in her opposition to Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), aligning herself with the “Tesla Takedown” movement. This group encourages Tesla owners to sell their vehicles and stock in protest of Musk’s influence. Speaking at a virtual rally last week, Crockett endorsed the movement’s upcoming “Global Day of Action.”
“On March 29, it’s my birthday,” she announced. “All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.”
She elaborated that her focus is financial, emphasizing that monetary consequences are the most effective means of resistance.

“I have learned, as I serve on the DOGE Oversight Committee, that there is only one language that the people that are in charge understand right now, and that language is money.”
Despite her strong rhetoric, Crockett insisted that her call to action remains strictly nonviolent.
“We know that we are peaceful, loving people, and this is not about violence,” she clarified.
Bondi, however, expressed concerns that Crockett’s stance could have broader implications.
“She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully,” Bondi said during an appearance on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures. “Nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country.”
The escalating tension comes as multiple Tesla dealerships and charging stations have been targeted in recent weeks. Federal authorities have charged at least three individuals in connection with these acts of vandalism. Bondi has warned that those arrested will face severe legal repercussions.
“People need to know, the three people in custody right now, they will receive severe and swift consequences,” she stated. “We are not negotiating these. We are not coming off these charges. We are looking at everything, especially if this is a concerted effort.”
In response, Crockett rebuffed any insinuation of violent intent.
“I just want to say that I have never promoted violence whatsoever,” she said on MSNBC’s Alex Witt Reports. “Yet, I’ve also never made excuses for those violent actors, such as the ones on January 6th. So, Pam Bondi, if you have an issue with terrorism, maybe you should talk to your boss about locking back up those guys that he let out that participated in January 6th.”
