*Good Morning America hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have stunned the media industry and social media users amid reports about their alleged affair.
“There were rumors they were having an affair about a year ago,” an insider tells PEOPLE, as reported by Blavity. “A lot of people believed there might have been some truth to it because you can see there’s a mutual affection there. But everyone ultimately chalked it up to friendship because they always said they were both happily married.”
Insider claims Robach and Holmes did not begin their passionate romance until after their longtime partners were no longer a factor. Robach is married to actor Andrew Shue and Holmes’ wife is attorney Marilee Fiebig. Roback and Holmes have been married to their spouses for 12 years.
Holmes and Fiebig have allegedly had marital problems for years, including rumors that he cheated on her. Insiders claim he moved out for good about “four months ago.”

“The only person he could lean on was Amy when he was having trouble with his marriage again recently. Amy was the first person he reached out to. No one knew he was getting a divorce until yesterday,” a source said.
Meanwhile, a separate source told Page Six that Robach and Shue “had a few bumps, and it’s always felt like they were exploring avenues.”
Their marriage officially came to an end “about six months ago.”
“They’re not ashamed. They’re two consenting adults, who ended up loving each other,” one source told Page Six about Holmes and Robach.
Amid news of their relationship, a Facebook post has been unearthed that Holmes posted on his and Marilee’s 10th anniversary, in which he recognizes her “built-in Black woman superpower” which allowed her to put up with his shameful antics.
“10 years ago, Marilee Fiebig married me. And despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past 10 years,” wrote Holmes on Mar. 1, 2020. “That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic. I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine ass out the door. But instead, with her built-in black woman superpower, she showed a grace and patience that’s incomprehensible.”
He continued, “Asking her for another 10 years would be asking too much. Another 10 months? That may even be a stretch. If she gave me another 10 weeks, I should consider myself lucky. If she puts up with me another 10 days, I’d be grateful. But if she would even spare another 10 minutes of her time for me today, I should consider myself blessed.”

Holmes and his estranged wife share a daughter named Sabine. He was previously married to Amy Ferson, who he divorced in 2007. They share two children.
According to reports, rumors about his affair with Robach began in August but insiders claim they started secretly dating last year.
