*Suge Knight isn’t backing down from his long-standing feud with Snoop Dogg. The former Death Row Records CEO recently criticized the West Coast rap legend, accusing him of tarnishing the legacy of the iconic label.
In a newly released interview with The Art of Dialogue, Knight, who is currently incarcerated, took direct shots at Snoop’s involvement with Death Row, Vibe reports.
“Snoop, you said I’m mad because you bought Death Row? What’d you buy? Show me the paperwork. Show me what you own,” Knight challenged. He also pointed out what he sees as Snoop’s failures, referencing the underwhelming impact of Snoop’s Doggystyle label and questioning his contributions during his tenure at Def Jam.
“Did you do anything good for Def Jam? Absolutely not,” he continued. “Now you wanna start something that has nothing to do with you. You going backwards. You tryna create something that Suge Knight created. But instead of going big, you disappointing the world by making everything flop.”
Knight holds Snoop responsible for what he believes is the downfall of Death Row. “If you have Death Row, you destroyed it. You messed up the name,” he stated.

The former label boss has long contested Snoop’s ownership of Death Row. In a 2022 interview with TMZ, he alleged that Michael “Harry-O” Harris, a former business associate, used fraudulent bankruptcy tactics to gain control of the company.
Knight also claimed that Snoop’s acquisition was not a legitimate purchase but rather the result of a legal misstep—an attorney from Knight’s camp failed to appear in court, leading to a default judgment in 2013 that transferred ownership of Death Row to MNRK Music Group.
