Fanfan’s jab at Kai Cenat goes from cringe to viral
*This is what happens when you don’t understand the assignment. Or, when you’re just NOT funny. The Streamer Awards 2025 was supposed to be a celebration, not a comedy roast gone sideways. But co-host Fanfan decided to test that theory with a joke aimed at fan-favorite streamer Kai Cenat—and the results were awkward at best.
While interviewing Kai live, Fanfan quipped, “You broke the record for the most expensive haircut and the least educational university.” Then she doubled down with, “Congrats on your new documentary with 50 Cent. That was you, right?”
Audience reaction: dead silence and major side-eye
To call the audience reaction “icy” would be generous. The crowd froze. Kai looked uncomfortable. Even on the stream, the tension was so thick you could cut it with Twitch Prime.
The documentary reference clearly hit a nerve. Many saw it as dragging Kai into the mess surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs and his Netflix doc, *The Reckoning*, which touches on very serious allegations. Yikes.
Tylil James wasn’t having it—and fans loved it

Before the show could recover, Kai’s close friend and fellow streamer Tylil James stood up and grabbed a mic.
“If you’re all gonna be on the mic making jokes, at least let it be funny. Have a good night.”
The mic drop moment was instantly clipped, memed, and praised as “iconic.” Some even compared it to the Will Smith slap—but with less assault and more verbal finesse.
Social media turned Fanfan into the main character
The backlash came fast. Twitter, TikTok, and Reddit lit up with users calling the joke “corny,” “unfunny,” and “way out of pocket.” Others said it completely derailed the positive energy of the event.
One viewer summed it up: “Kai’s winning awards and y’all are throwing Diddy jokes? Read the room.” No lies detected.

Kai still won big—awkward moment or not
Despite the drama, Kai walked away with four wins, including Best Just Chatting Streamer and Best Marathon Stream for *Mafiathon 3*. He also nabbed Best Streamed Event and Best Collab with LeBron James.
But his Streamer of the Year streak ended when IShowSpeed took the crown. Still, four trophies and a viral moment? Not bad for a night of unintentional chaos.
Fanfan stays silent as QTCinderella shrugs it off
So far, Fanfan hasn’t apologized—or said much at all. Meanwhile, host QTCinderella addressed the elephant in the theater:
“Everything we say tonight is a joke, okay? Especially after some of you talk to Fanfan.”
Uh-huh. Not quite damage control, but sure. Let’s just say the streamer roast format may need a rethink before next year.
