*Lionsgate has released the highly anticipated trailer for “Shadow Force,” an action-packed thriller set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
Directed by Joe Carnahan, the film promises to deliver an intense blend of suspense, explosive action, and high emotional stakes. With a star-studded cast led by Emmy winner Kerry Washington and Golden Globe nominee Omar Sy, “Shadow Force” is poised to captivate audiences when it debuts in theaters.
The film follows Kyrah (Washington) and Isaac (Sy), former leaders of a multinational special forces team known as Shadow Force. Their lives take a dangerous turn after they fall in love, breaking the group’s strict rules. To protect their son, the couple goes underground, but their past comes back to haunt them when a hefty bounty is placed on their heads. With the relentless Shadow Force hunting them, they must fight to survive as the situation spirals into an all-out war.

“Shadow Force” has been compared to the 2005 blockbuster “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” with the filmmakers presenting a fresh take on the action-comedy genre.
The film’s release date places it in direct competition with some major blockbusters, including Marvel Studios’ “Thunderbolts,” “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” Disney’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” and “Karate Kid: Legends.”
