*Rapper Sexyy Red is at the center of a legal battle, as her child’s grandmother has filed a lawsuit accusing her of inciting fans to harass and attack her at home.
According to court documents, Nicole Barnes claims that in December 2024, Sexyy Red shared her home address with her social media following, allegedly urging fans to “kick in the door” and cause harm to her and her family, TMZ reports. The threats prompted Barnes to leave her Hazelwood, Missouri, residence out of fear for her safety. However, she claims she has struggled to find affordable housing since relocating.
Barnes states that the distress from the alleged threats has taken a toll on her mental well-being, leading her to seek therapy. As a result, she has filed a lawsuit against Sexyy Red, citing assault and infliction of emotional distress. Barnes is seeking more than $5 million in damages from the raunchy hip-hop star.
The case has sparked discussions about the influence of celebrities on social media and the potential consequences of their online actions. While Sexyy Red has yet to publicly respond to the allegations, the lawsuit raises significant concerns about digital responsibility and personal safety.
