*Saweetie has plans for 2025. And she is not letting her music get in the way. Chatting with InStyle, the “Best Friend” rapstress revealed her intent to shift into “complete acting mode” after the release of her debut album “Pretty B**ch Music.”
Among the projects on Saweetie’s 2025 bucket list? One that teams her with Netflix.
“After I drop this album, I can foresee myself going into complete acting mode,” she told InStyle. “I sent in my audition tapes before the new year, so I’m looking forward to hearing back from them.”
Despite keeping mum on details on her Netflix collab, Saweetie mentioned that “[I’d] be playing the protagonist. So, I’m really excited for this.”
What the Netflix film or TV project is is anyone’s guess. All that is known is InStyle’s description of the effort as “semi-music-related,” with Saweetie turning her audition tape in back in December 2024.

Looking at the “My Type” entertainer’s filmography, Rap-Up notes Saweetie’s credits include roles in “Grown-ish,” as Indigo and “BMF,” as Keeya as well as playing herself in “Bel-Air” and the Scooby-Doo animated spinoff “Velma.”
Musically, fans are patiently waiting on “Pretty Bitch Music,” which Saweetie described as “feel-good” and “more global.”
“[The album] will address some misconceptions about myself and be authentic to the magical woman I am today,” the rhymesayer said of her upcoming debut, which she has teased over the past several years.
“Saweetie’s a human. She cries. She breaks down. She shuts down. I go through a lot of emotions. This is the moment when I’m able to finally speak in a full project. A bad b**ch got feelings too.”
In the meanwhile, supporters have a slew of singles to keep their Saweetie fix going. The tunes, which aren’t confirmed for “Pretty Bitch Music,” are “Richtivities,” “NANi,” “My Best,” and “Is It The Way” as well as two Christmas-themed tracks.
