*In an emotional plea, TODAY show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie announced her family is offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to the recovery of her missing mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, according to a report from CNBC. The announcement came via an Instagram video on Tuesday, marking 24 days since the beloved grandmother vanished from her Tucson, Arizona home.
Savannah Guthrie Mother Reward Announced in Emotional Plea
“Help us bring our beloved mother home,” Guthrie said in the video, her voice heavy with emotion. “Please be the light in the dark. We need her to come home.” The substantial Savannah Guthrie’s mother is being offered for “any information” that leads to Nancy Guthrie, who authorities believe was abducted.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has stated Nancy Guthrie was likely “taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night, and that includes possible kidnapping or abduction.” The FBI is actively assisting in the investigation.

What We Know About Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance
Nancy Guthrie was last seen entering her home on the night of January 31. Security footage released by FBI Director Kash Patel shows a masked man, wearing gloves, approaching her front door in the early morning hours of February 1, just hours after she was dropped off.
Despite this video and ongoing investigative efforts, authorities have been unable to locate her. Savannah acknowledged the painful reality that her mother, given her age, medical issues, and the time elapsed, may not be alive.
“We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope, as my sister says,” Guthrie shared. “We are blowing on the embers of hope. We also know that she may be lost, she may already be gone.”
She added a poignant message about acceptance: “If this is what is to be, then we will accept it. But we need to know where she is.”
Family Donates to Help Other Missing Children
In addition to the reward for her own mother, the Guthrie family is donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Savannah explained this gift acknowledges the millions of other families living with the same painful uncertainty.
The FBI’s own $100,000 reward for information in the case remains active. Anyone with information is urged to come forward. As Savannah pleaded directly to any potential witness: “We are begging you to come forward now.”
