*Ryan Seacrest is one month into his new role as host of “Wheel of Fortune” and he’s reportedly “not doing the low-key version of the show” that his predecessor, Pat Sajak, did.
Sources tell RadarOnline.com that Seacrest has quickly made the show his own after replacing Sajak following his 42-season run.
Sajak, 77, announced his retirement in June 2023. At the time, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my lastIt’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”
Sajak began hosting the beloved game show in 1981 alongside co-host Vanna White. His final episode aired on June 7, 2024. During his farewell speech, Sajak thanked fans for their support over the past four decades.
“Well, the time has come to say goodbye,” he told viewers. “I have a few thanks and acknowledgments before I go, and I want to start with all watching out there. It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade.”

According to Radar, Seacrest has turned the “Wheel of Fortune” set upside down since taking over as host.
“Ryan is simply not doing the low-key version of the show that Pat did. He’s brought every bit of his ‘hype-beast’ morning radio and New Year’s Eve energy to the production of his first episodes,” sources said. “It’s a pretty big shift and an obvious grab for a younger generation of viewers than Pat had.”
Seacrest paid tribute to Sajak during Pat’s final episode and expressed gratitude to Vanna.
“Your partnership with Vanna has been nothing short of iconic – and together, you’ve created countless wonderful memories for viewers,” Seacrest told Sajak.
“You’ve set the standard for hosts everywhere and this marks the end of an era,” he added.
