*The 46th Golden Raspberry Awards, which spotlight what members consider the worst films of the year, have announced their nominations. Variety reports that the live-action Disney feature “Snow White” and Ice Cube’s “War of the Worlds” each received six nods, leading the pack. Other films nominated for worst picture include “The Electric State,” “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” and “Star Trek: Section 31.”
In the acting categories, Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye earned a worst actor nomination for playing a fictionalized version of himself in “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which received five Razzie nods overall. He will compete against Dave Bautista (“In the Lost Lands”), Ice Cube (“War of the Worlds”), Scott Eastwood (“Alarum”), and Jared Leto (“Tron: Ares”).
The worst actress category includes Ariana DeBose (“Love Hurts”), Milla Jovovich (“In the Lost Lands”), Natalie Portman (“Fountain of Youth”), Rebel Wilson (“Bride Hard”), and Michelle Yeoh (“Star Trek: Section 31”).
Worst screen combo nominations highlight unusual pairings, such as the seven dwarfs in “Snow White”; James Corden and Rihanna in “Smurfs”; Ice Cube and his Zoom camera in “War of the Worlds”; Robert De Niro as Frank and Vito in “The Alto Nights”; and The Weeknd paired with “his colossal ego” in “Hurry Up Tomorrow.”
