Executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan revealed that the live broadcast, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will air on ABC and stream on Hulu on Sunday, March 15, 2026, beginning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. The red carpet show kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
According to the news release, this year’s musical moments are inspired by two major cultural phenomena in film: the record-breaking nominated movie “Sinners” and the global sensation “KPop Demon Hunters.” Kapoor and Mullan described the performances as cinematic tributes that highlight the connection between music and storytelling, honoring why these films have resonated with audiences worldwide.

The “KPop Demon Hunters” segment will feature a fusion of traditional Korean instruments and dance, with performers EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, and REI AMI bringing to life the Oscar-nominated original song “Golden” from the film. This tribute celebrates the folklore and cultural roots that inspired the animated blockbuster.
For the “Sinners” portion, Raphael Saadiq joins Miles Caton to perform the Oscar-nominated original song “I Lied To You.” They will be accompanied by a lineup of acclaimed artists including Misty Copeland, Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey, and Alice Smith in a visual homage to the film’s unique style.
Additional appearances will include Josh Groban performing alongside the Los Angeles Master Chorale, further enhancing the evening’s musical offerings.
The producers plan to announce more talent in the lead-up to the ceremony. The 98th Oscars will take place at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be broadcast live in over 200 territories worldwide, promising a night of unforgettable performances and cinematic celebration.
