*”Project Runway” is preparing for its return with a new trailer that offers a first look at Season 22 and reveals several high-profile additions to the judging panel.
The long-running fashion competition returns July 9 on Freeform, with episodes streaming shortly afterward on Hulu and Disney+.
Heidi Klum returns as host and judge alongside Law Roach and Nina Garcia, while Christian Siriano resumes his role as mentor. Season 22 will also introduce a familiar face to the panel, with Tyra Banks joining the series as a recurring judge.
The new season will feature the largest designer lineup in the show’s history. For the first time, 22 contestants from a variety of backgrounds will compete for the chance to advance their careers in fashion.

According to the news release, several celebrity guest judges will also appear throughout the season. The lineup includes Ciara, Ice Spice, Iman, Niecy Nash, Nina Dobrev, and Kiernan Shipka, as well as fashion industry figures Fausto Puglisi, Sergio Hudson, Willy Chavarria and Winnie Harlow.
Beyond the judging table, the season will feature a number of celebrity cameos. Hannah Berner, Paige DeSorbo, Nara Smith and costume designer Molly Rogers are among those scheduled to appear.
Season 22 will also continue the franchise’s tradition of crossover moments. Members of the “Dancing with the Stars” cast, including Julianne Hough, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, and Emma Slater, will take part in a runway challenge during the season.
Reality television personalities from Hulu’s “Get Real” universe are also set to appear as guest models. The group includes former “The Bachelorette” star Charity Lawson, “Love Thy Nader” cast member Sarah Jane Nader and “Vanderpump Villa” personality Ekin-Su.
The season will additionally welcome back Season 21 winner Veejay Floresca, who will return to the runway as a model.
The newly released trailer teases a larger field of competitors, high-profile guest appearances and the kind of high-pressure design challenges that have defined the series for more than two decades. Watch the clip below.
