*Piers Morgan is making a significant power move in his bid to build a global digital media operation. The provocative television personality and former newspaper editor has brought on Rashida Jones, the former president of MSNBC, to serve as CEO of his growing company Uncensored.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the appointment is backed by a new infusion of capital from Raine Ventures, Antenna Group, and Reuben Brothers, the investment group overseen by David and Simon Reuben. Uncensored built its foundation on Morgan’s YouTube program “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” which simultaneously reaches British television viewers via Paramount’s Channel 5.
Morgan expressed strong confidence in his new hire. “Rashida Jones is one of the sharpest minds in media and her track record of building and transforming businesses speaks for itself,” he said.
The media mogul added, “She has impressed me enormously with her enthusiasm and vision for the Uncensored brand. With this bold, unapologetic, and dynamic leader, plus the backing of an incredible group of investors led by Raine Ventures and Antenna Group, we are now positioned to create one of the biggest new media entities in the world.”

Jones matched his energy. “Piers developed an incredible platform with Uncensored that’s already going head-to-head with legacy media,” she said.
