*Oprah Winfrey has sparked recent health rumors by revealing she’s at peace with the idea of not having much time left.
“There is a sense of knowing that there isn’t as much time left and I am at peace with that knowing,” said the 70-year-old media mogul Oprah during an appearance on “Today” with Al Roker on Tuesday, SandraRose.com reports. “There’s a sense of urgency for me about living well,” she added.
Oprah explained that her health concerns began after undergoing knee surgery in 2021.
“I had been becoming more and more debilitated to the point where it was hard to walk down even two steps just to get into the car. You know that pain,” she told Al Roker. “When I finally went to the knee doctor and I said, ‘I don’t know, is it time?’ He goes, ‘It’s time if you want to continue walking. You like walking? It’s time.’”
In June, Oprah’s bestie Gayle King shared a health update on Winfrey following her battle with a stomach virus and dehydration. King said Winfrey had “some kind of stomach flu where stuff was coming out of both ends.”
“She will be okay. I hope she’s not mad at me for sharing that detail,” King shared, Complex reports. “But I wanted to make it clear, though, that it mattered to her and that it really bothered her that she couldn’t be here for you today.”
King later contacted Winfrey via Facetime and the veteran talk show confirmed that she’s “not 100 [percent], I’m on my way to 100,” Winfrey said.
“I never said you were hospitalized, I did say that you had a stomach something, was coming out of both sides, which it was,” King told Oprah in the video.
“I was in the emergency room, I was so dehydrated,” responded Winfrey. “I had a dry mouth and I couldn’t keep enough water down to get hydrated, so I went to the emergency room for that, and that’s just it.”
