*A Nicki Minaj fan is taking legal action against the rapper for ruining his reputation and causing him emotional distress after an encounter with her husband.
Tameer Peak’s $5 million lawsuit against Nicki stems from claims that she allegedly defamed him over several years, damaging his reputation within her fanbase. Peak asserts that their relationship soured around 2017 when Minaj accused him and other fans of being “paid moles” attempting to sabotage her career.
Per TMZ, “In one session, Nicki allegedly wrote, “It’s clear they’re not necessarily, you know, a full basket umm at the picnic.” Peak took that to mean he was mentally unstable or intellectually deficient. In another, he says Nicki accused him of being “one sandwich short of a picnic” and receiving a check from the government, implying he was on welfare.”
Peak further claims that Minaj ridiculed him during an Instagram Live session in front of thousands of viewers and that her husband, Kenneth Petty, physically assaulted him during a 2020 event.
Peak is seeking compensation for the emotional distress and financial loss he has experienced as a result of Minaj’s alleged actions.

Minaj’s attorney Judd Burstein responded to the lawsuit, saying, “Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail.”
Burstein told TMZ, “He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims. He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.”
In related news, Nicki Minaj recently settled with a YouTuber who called the hip-hop star a “cokehead” in a 2022 video.
The popular vlogger Marley Green, better known as Nosey Heaux, posted a video at the time in which she said “We all know it’s true” that the hip-hop star is a cokehead.
Court documents reveal that, under the settlement agreement, Green acknowledges making false statements about Nicki Minaj using cocaine and has apologized for these claims. She also pledged not to make any further false accusations about Nicki or her son.
While no punitive damages were awarded to Nicki Minaj, the settlement includes a provision that Green will owe the rapper $50,000 each time she violates any of up to four breaches of defamation. Read more about the settlement details here.
