*Netflix has expanded the ensemble for its upcoming romance “Don’t Ever Wonder,” adding 10 actors to the production led by Nia Long and Larenz Tate.
The new cast members are Blair Underwood, Laz Alonso, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Pauletta Washington. Additional performers joining the project include Dennis Haysbert, Chante Adams, Algee Smith, Grasie Mercedes, Navia Robinson, and Yolonda Ross. Filming is currently in progress across locations in New Jersey and New York.
Eugene Ashe, director of “Sylvie’s Love,” helms the feature from a screenplay he co-wrote with Kay Oyegun. While the film draws inspiration from Maxwell’s “Urban Hang Suite” album, Netflix is keeping plot details under wraps.

The production team includes producers James Lopez, Charles D. King, and Poppy Hanks representing MACRO Film Studios. Executive producer roles are filled by Maxwell, John D. Hammond, Long, and Tate.
The romantic feature marks another collaboration between the streamer and talents from both dramatic television and film backgrounds, assembling performers with credits spanning premium cable series, broadcast network hits, and theatrical releases.
Meanwhile, fans can catch Nia Long as Katherine Jackson in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic “Michael,” directed by Antoine Fuqua. The film is scheduled for release in the United States by Lionsgate on April 24, 2026, and by Universal Pictures internationally.
“Katherine Jackson is an incredible pillar of strength and grace for the entire Jackson family,” said Long. “As a mother, she was selfless and endured forces beyond her control yet still managed to help build a legacy beyond measure. I am honored to bring her voice to the screen and share Michael Jackson’s story with audiences everywhere.”
