*Hip-hop stars Nelly and Ashanti, who welcomed their first child together last year, will take fans behind the scenes of their glamorous life in a new docuseries for Peacock.
Produced by Critical Content, Nelly and Ashanti also serve as executive producers on the project that has been filming for several months, Deadline reports. The couple rekindled their relationship in 2023 after previously dating for a decade. The pair quietly married in December 2023.
Meanwhile, we reported earlier that Ashanti called Nelly her “soulmate” while celebrating his 50th birthday at Tao in Las Vegas late last year.
“It’s priceless, honestly, just to have my soulmate, like my person, like my best friend, like my protector. The universe doesn’t make mistakes,” she told Entertainment Tonight, BET.com reports. “I don’t tell him all the time, but I’ve learned a lot about… just being grateful, graceful, and giving people grace. Being open minded and level headed and not too emotional.”
Nelly was joined by family and friends at the event, including Kevin Hart, Jermaine Dupri, and Anderson .Paak.

“She’s a great person, she’s a great mother,” Nelly said about his superstar wife. “Even when it comes to doing this—having birthday parties and things like that. So to have that person with you, it’s like, ‘yeah, that’s it.’”
Nelly hosted a surprise baby shower for Ashanti at a Dolce & Gabbana store in New York City last July. Footage from the event shows a surprised Ashanti emerging from an elevator and being greeted by family and friends, including rapper Fat Joe.
“Oh my god, I thought I was coming to a photoshoot,” she said to her guests in a clip shared on Instagram Story. “I’m in shock. Thank you guys so much, I love guys, I appreciate you. Thank you,” the singer added.
