*A 19-year-old woman was stabbed inside a Kids Foot Locker at Southland Center mall in Taylor, Michigan, after a shopper allegedly lost her temper, police say.
Law & Crime reports that the incident reportedly began when someone behind the suspect in line called her a “broke b—” after her card was declined. Victim Suniya Jenkins told local Fox affiliate WJBK that she did not make the comment but had entered the store after hearing a commotion. “I think it was unfair to me to get stabbed,” Jenkins said. She was stabbed four times in the neck, stomach, and thigh, and she currently has a punctured lung.

Jenkins said the woman, who had children with her, was yelling at people near the register before attacking her. “As the argument got verbal, she put her hand in her purse and proceeded to tell me she was going to shoot me,” Jenkins recalled. “I did not see or even know I was stabbed until after the physical altercation.”
Police confirmed that the suspect was arrested and is expected to face charges. Jenkins, who is expected to make a full recovery, plans to press charges. “It does sadden me because I don’t want her to be taken away from her children, I truly don’t,” she said.
