*Meghan Markle has delayed the release of her Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” due to the ongoing wildfires in her hometown of Los Angeles.
The show was originally set to premiere on January 15 but will now debut on March 4. Netflix supports the decision to postpone the date as the wildfires continue to devastate the area.
“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Meghan said in a statement on Sunday, Jan. 12.
The Duchess of Susses resides in Montecito with her husband Prince Harry and their two children. On Jan. 10, the couple visited the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena to help distribute food and supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire, PEOPLE reports. They also linked to organizations and groups helping with relief efforts on their sussex.com website.
“In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighborhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life,” Harry and Meghan said in a statement on their sussex.com website on Jan. 9.

The statement linked to organizations and groups helping with relief efforts.
“A state of emergency has been issued. If you feel compelled to help, here are some resources and ideas,” the statement continued, linking to organizations and groups helping with relief efforts,” Harry and Meghan wrote. “Some families and people have been left with nothing. Please consider donating clothing, children’s toys and clothing and other essentials.”
Meghan filmed her Netflix show in Montecito, and Netflix describes the series as an “inspiring series, produced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, that reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old.”
Per the streamer, “… we join Meghan in the kitchen, garden — and even at the beehive — as she prepares to host friends both old and new. Sharing some of her favorite tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, crafting, and more, Meghan reveals how even the most minute details can help add beauty to our lives and, most importantly, help bring people together. Whether it’s preparing take-home gifts for guests or adding a sprinkle of edible flowers to breakfast, it’s truly the thought that counts.”
“In each episode, Meghan invites friends old and new to roll up their sleeves and join her in the kitchen, garden, and beyond,” the series description continues. “Whether Meghan is sharing personal tips and tricks, or taking the opportunity to learn something new, it’s a time for connection. Guests include Roy Choi, Mindy Kaling, Alice Waters, with additional acclaimed chefs and special friends.”
