*NBC has unveiled the first trailer for its new comedy series “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,” starring Tracy Morgan’s and “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe.
Morgan stars as Reggie Dinkins, a former celebrity whose career has suffered a public downturn, now attempting to rebuild amid skepticism from those around him. The official synopsis states: “Disgraced former football star Reggie Dinkins is on a mission to rehabilitate his image with the help of award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Radcliffe). In order to earn back the admiration of his fans and the respect of his family, Reggie will also have to confront the ghosts of his past.” The ensemble includes Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall.
Megan Thee Stallion will appear as Denise, a recently divorced mom who flirts with Arthur, marking one of the series’ most anticipated guest appearances. NBC has promised additional cameos from Heidi Gardner, Ronny Chieng, Anna Camp, and Craig Robinson as Jerry Basmati, Reggie’s rival from his playing days who still carries a grudge. He’ll do anything to prove he’s better than Reggie, both on and off the field, according to the news release.
