*Former “Saturday Night Live” star Maya Rudolph returned to the long-running sketch comedy show to host this week’s new episode.
Rudolph kicked off the show with a Mother’s Day monologue and rap, with the cast joining to joke around with their moms. Maya noted that the moment was “extra special because I am a four-time mom,” she said.
“That’s right, I have four beautiful kids…that I know of,” she added.
Rudolph and director Paul Thomas Anderson are parents to four children: Pearl, 18, Lucille, 14, Jack, 12, and Minnie, 10. In 2018, the actress discussed with PopSugar how motherhood altered various aspects of her life.

“I mean, I don’t go out as much — at all,” she said. “But more importantly, in life, it allowed me to create something that I call the ‘bulls— meter,’ which is basically the things that are literally not important — I just got rid of them.”
She explained, “I used to take on a lot more than necessary, and when it’s you, you’re sort of your own worst enemy in life, you take on a lot more than is necessary.”
During her SNL appearance on May 11, Rudolph did her best impression of Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter era while eating hot wings for an episode of Hot Ones — watch the clip below as well as additional sketches from Maya’s SNL episode.
