*Tuesday at the Apple TV 2026 Press Day, Apple TV and the stars of “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” unveiled a first-look at the darkly comedic thriller starring Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson, and Brandon Flynn (Trevor).
The half-hour, 10-episode season follows newly divorced mom Paula (Maslany) as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a crime – while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis – Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self.
“I’m an actor. That’s kind of by definition a camboy in some ways [laughing],” shared Flynn about researching camboys and how he approached his character. “Oddly enough, I’ve been developing this adaptation of a book called “Rent Boy” by Gary Indiana. It takes place in the ’90s, and it’s all about like a hustler. So, I’ve sort of been delving into the world of hustlers and all the different avenues that have taken place from the ’90s on. There was a world in which when we started, I didn’t know [laughing] all the answers to Trevor and what would unfold. So my job was really just to show up and play the scene earnestly. He’s a good guy. He’s just listening. And Trevor is a really good actor, which that information was really helpful. Or lack of [laughing] information was really helpful. As an actor, the answer is to play characters as you think they’re good.”
“Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” will make its global debut on Apple TV with the first two episodes on Wednesday, May 20, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through July 15.
