*Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of adult content platform OnlyFans, has died at the age of 43 after a long battle with cancer, a company spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE.
“Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer,” the spokesperson said. “His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”
The billionaire tech mogul was born in Ukraine and raised in Chicago. In 2004, he launched MyFreeCams, an adult webcam platform, marking his first major step into online media and digital entrepreneurship.

In 2018, Radvinsky took control of Fenix International Limited, the company behind OnlyFans, purchasing it from its original founders, Tim and Guy Stokely. As director and majority shareholder, he oversaw the platform as it grew into a major hub for adult content. OnlyFans, initially launched in 2016 without a focus on adult material, quickly became synonymous with it, attracting millions of creators and subscribers worldwide.
The platform operates on a user-generated model, where creators earn revenue through subscriptions, tips, and pay-per-view content, receiving roughly 80% of sales. In 2021, OnlyFans launched OFTV, a free platform featuring safe-for-work streaming content. Its popularity surged during the COVID-19 pandemic, and by 2024, OnlyFans had over four million creators and 370 million registered users.
In August 2021, U.S. lawmakers began investigating the company, and OnlyFans announced it would restrict sexually explicit content due to banking pressures. The move sparked widespread backlash from users and creators, and the decision was reversed six days later.
Beyond OnlyFans, Radvinsky was known for philanthropy. He donated $5 million to Ukraine relief efforts in 2022 and contributed to animal welfare groups, and other charitable causes.
Forbes estimated Radvinsky’s fortune at $4.7 billion at the time of his passing, placing him 869th on the list of the world’s wealthiest individuals.
