*LaLa Anthony’s role in season two of the hit STARZ crime drama “BMF” involves a love triangle with Da’Vinchi’s character “Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.”
Anthony plays “Markisha Taylor,” a wise, sophisticated, and street-savvy wife of a powerful Detroit dealer. Despite the risk, Terry begins to pursue her relentlessly. As BMF’s business booms, Markisha becomes Terry’s confidant, and they embark on an exhilarating and dangerous affair, putting Terry at odds with the people he loves the most.
EUR’s Jill Munroe spoke exclusively with both stars about what we can expect from the characters in the new season.
Terry has walked away from the drug game and severed his “womb to the tomb” relationship with his older brother, Meech. Instead, Terry is trying to be his own man and live his own life: he wants to reconnect with the mother of his child (Lawanda), finish high school, and run his own legitimate business: a car-ride service he and his father, Charles think they can turn a profit and serve as a family legacy.

Da’Vinchi said Terry’s mindset this season is, “I’m doing this alone. This is me by myself, but I started this project with my father as my business partner. Little does Terry know his father becomes his new Meech. And he’s annoyed as hell by that.”
Anthony says that Markesha is attracted to Terry because of his confidence.
“She is fascinated by his confidence; I think she is fascinated by his potential. As women, we love to see the potential in men, and we feel like, I’m going to be the one that will bring out that potential,” the actress explained. “And I think she feels like if he’s with me, I can make him great, or he can achieve all of these goals. So that’s how she goes into it. And then feelings get involved, and it becomes a whole different thing after that.”
Anthony also unpacked the dynamic of this relationship.
“At the start, Markesha is in an abusive marriage. And then she meets Terry, who’s younger, and over time, she grows to really care about him and eventually love him. And it’s the relationship that should not be because he also has a new baby, and he has a situation.”
Anthony said you’ll experience all the emotions and that makes for great TV.
