E! is reviving the world of the original fab queen with “Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane,” a fresh reality series premiering this December. It’s been more than ten years since fans last followed her fabulous life on “Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane,” and in that time, her empire and her family have only grown, E! News reports.
Now a single mom of five, Kimora juggles motherhood and the madness of running a billion-dollar business. The new series will offer a close-up view of her chaotic yet dazzling life, from managing her iconic Baby Phat brand to raising her children, Ming, 25, Aoki, 22, Kenzo, 13, Gary, 15, and Wolfe, 10.
Kimora’s commitment to legacy is front and center in more ways than one. In 2020, she launched Baby Phat Beauty alongside her daughters, an extension of the brand that made her a household name. The first product revealed at the time was a three-piece Shimmer Dreams kit, featuring a high-shine lip gloss, nourishing hand lotion, and a shimmering body spray.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Kimora described the launch as both personal and purposeful. “We’re a family business … a heritage brand,” she said. “It’s an old-meets-new legacy kind of situation for me.” She added, “a little bit of luxury, a little bit of sassiness, a little bit of glitter and glitz to your day.”

Each scent in the beauty line is crafted to reflect the personalities of its creators. Ming’s Opulence is described as peachy with hints of orchid and caramel. “Ming is very similar to me,” Kimora said. “She gets the love of fashion, beauty, and self-expression.” Aoki’s Ethereal, on the other hand, symbolizes independence and intellect. “It’s like, I am woman, hear me roar,” Kimora explained. Her own fragrance, Divine, is warm and floral—“I think of myself as being a boss, like a badass.”
A major theme in Kimora’s world is empowerment. She’s long taught her daughters the importance of mixing high and low in fashion and beauty, and doesn’t shy away from sharing practical tips. “A little Vaseline goes a long way,” she said. “You have to learn how to high-low it in life, whether that’s with fashion or beauty.”
But for Kimora, beauty is only part of a bigger picture. “We are the ones now. This falls on our shoulders, and no one does it better than women,” she said. “I’m over here grooming future presidents. And if it’s not these two girls in my house right now, it’s one of their friends.”
With the return of her reality show, a thriving beauty line, and a renewed focus on empowering women of color, Kimora Lee Simmons is proving that fabulosity never goes out of style.
