*A viral video from Coachella captured Karrueche Tran and her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown chatting and laughing together, marking their first public interaction since their 2015 breakup, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
The reunion sparked varied reactions among fans, with some speculating about a possible romantic reunion. However, Tran previously dismissed similar rumors in 2021 after they were seen leaving a Space Jam event at Six Flags minutes apart. She commented on The Shade Room’s post, stating, “There was an event at Six Flags for Space Jam… there were a ton of other people there. Next.”
Their past relationship, which began in 2011, was rocky, ending after Brown fathered a child with Nia Guzman in 2014. In 2017, Tran secured a five-year restraining order against Brown, testifying that he became violent when she refused to return diamond rings he gifted her.
She alleged he sent threatening messages, including, “I can get my money back and I’m tired of playing games,” “Bitch I will beat the s— out of you,” and “I promise you I will make your life hell.”
Tran also claimed he threatened her life, saying he “threatened to kill me over text messages,” “threatened to harass my friends,” and “threatened to shoot me.” Reflecting on the restraining order, Tran told Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, “For my safety, yeah… It just got to a point where it’s just like, I can’t. Just to make sure. And I live in L.A. I’m from L.A. So I move around how I wanna move, you know what I’m saying? So that’s what I felt that I needed.”
